PROVO, UTAH - July 8, 2008 - THINK Subscription, the leading provider of
subscription management and fulfillment software, announces the release of THINK Enterprise 7.1,
their flagship product. THINK continues to improve upon the capabilities of the software platform
to meet the changing needs in the subscription market place. “We are quite excited about release of
THINK Enterprise 7.1. The improvements are very important for existing and prospective THINK clients
and will help them meet the demanding needs of subscription business”, said Scott Frazier, CEO of
THINK Subscription.
“The new version of THINK Enterprise offers excellent improvements in ways to automate
communication and integration with the system. Our clients have let us know that our
feature set is very strong. Clients are now looking for more automation and efficiency
in running the system especially with regards to integration points. The recent changes
focus on automation and communication and in ways that address the needs of international
markets and an international client base” says Paul Russell, President and CTO, THINK
Subscription.
The changes to version 7.1 are focused on four key areas:
Internationalization
Ecommerce subscription models are the new business model for the web. Every type of content
is being monetized on a subscription basis. As businesses compete on the internet in a global
environment deep penetration into non-traditional markets opens a completely new source of
revenue. A subscription management system must provide capabilities to handle all aspects of
international marketing, promotions, payments, and subscriber management. New capabilities
are added to THINK Enterprise to facilitate product offerings to international markets including
alternate web translations and storage of subscriber data.
Transactional Email
Enhancements have been made to THINK Enterprise to make transactional email capabilities more robust.
This includes multiple output options for delivering notifications to subscribers.
Extended XPI APIs
System APIs have been extended to the product configuration module. The new APIs allow clients to
extend control of the configuration application to alternate user interfaces and become an important
integration point for developers wishing to extend the system, stage data or develop wizard driven
interfaces.
Event Notification
As businesses implement THINK Enterprise, integration with diverse systems often becomes a necessary
part of the implementation process. The XML API allows significant control by other applications
that need to drive transactions within THINK Enterprise. In a highly integrated environment the
system not only needs to be driven through the API but also needs to inform other complementary
systems of events that may transpire. The ability of the system to ‘inform’ or ‘notify’ other
systems of events will create more interactive touch points and provide a better way to trigger
events in other systems. The event notification capability allows the system to publish event
data that can be consumed by messaging technology which in turn is used to initiate transactions
in complementary systems (available in August 2008).
